Investigative writing

Investigative writing isĀ writing that is meant to defend a thesis while exploring various areas of a topic. Investigative writing sets out to investigate a topic and report the findings to the reader.

Scientists use three types of investigations to research and develop explanations for events in the nature: descriptive investigation, comparative investigation, and experimental investigation.
